Each Friday at Underdale High School, our Year 7 students participate in an activity designed to foster positive mindsets and reflection. Students take the time to write down three successes from their week, encouraging them to recognise their achievements—large or small—and build self-confidence.
This weekly practice not only motivates students to acknowledge their progress, but also helps to develop resilience and a growth mindset. Whether it’s mastering a new concept, strengthening friendships, or making positive contributions to the school community, every success is worth celebrating.
Families are encouraged to ask their children about their weekly successes, reinforcing the importance of reflection and recognising effort. We believe these small moments of reflection help build strong, empowered learners ready to tackle new challenges.
