We are excited to announce the launch of the Underdale Tennis Academy in 2026, marking an exciting new chapter for specialist sport opportunities at our school.
We are thrilled to welcome Luke Sebastiani as our Head Coach. Luke is also the Head Coach at the Adelaide Tennis Academy at Peake Gardens Tennis Club and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the program.
Luke is a Tennis Australia Club Professional and is currently completing his High Performance Coaching accreditation (Level 3), placing him among the highest-qualified tennis coaches in South Australia. With 17 years of coaching experience across Australia and Germany, Luke is highly respected for his work in player development, coaching athletes from green ball tennis through to high-performance national competition.
As a player, Luke is a two-time South Australian Men’s State League Champion and is currently competing in the State League and Australian Money Tour circuits. He also has valuable playing and coaching experience within Germany’s competitive club league system.
In addition to his coaching roles, Luke is a professional hitting partner for top 100 ATP and WTA players, giving him rare insight into the standards, habits, and demands of elite international tennis. This experience directly informs his work with young athletes.
Luke’s coaching philosophy centres on developing technically sound, mentally tough athletes who move efficiently and confidently. His approach is informed by principles from internationally recognised movement specialists and underpinned by his academic background. Luke holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary/Middle School Education from the University of South Australia, supporting his structured and developmental coaching style.
Beyond the court, Luke is also the creator and host of the “ATA Going Pro” podcast, where he interviews professional players, coaches, strength and conditioning experts, and industry leaders to explore the stories and strategies behind success at the highest levels.
