Our Senior Prefects, Yasmine Khan and Zia Momin, had the honour of representing Underdale High School at the Governor’s Reception at Government House, where they met Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC.
The event brought together student leaders from across South Australia to celebrate the importance of youth leadership in shaping our future. It provided a unique opportunity for young people to connect, share their experiences, and explore ways they can make a positive impact in their schools and wider communities.
Zia reflected on the experience, saying:
“Representing Underdale High School and attending the Governor’s Reception was an incredible experience. The event brought together student leaders from across the state, and it was an excellent opportunity to share ideas and celebrate the importance of youth leadership in our communities. Yasmine and I were grateful of the opportunity to build meaningful connections with others and discuss real world issues.”
This was a proud moment for our school, highlighting the leadership, initiative, and optimism our students bring to every opportunity. Yasmine and Zia’s involvement is a reminder of the strength of student voice at Underdale, and how young leaders are actively contributing to conversations that shape the future of our state.
