Student Leadership in Action
Our recent Year 8 Assembly was a highly successful and inspiring event, thoughtfully designed and led by 8.2, Ms Prisco’s Project U group of articulate and confident students.
The assembly showcased the leadership, organisation, and communication skills of our students, who shared key highlights and events from the term with clarity and pride. Their ability to lead such an important whole-cohort event is a testament to the strength of student voice and leadership at Underdale.
A special highlight of the assembly was the recognition of students who consistently demonstrate our ROCK values. Awards were presented for Resilience, Optimism, Courage, and Knowledge, celebrating those who embody these qualities in their learning and interactions every day.
Year 8 Coordinator Mr Gilmore and Assistant Principal Middle School Mr Davies both spoke about how proud they are of the Year 8 cohort. They acknowledged the positive way students are developing and applying their self-regulated learning skills, showing increasing independence, responsibility, and commitment to their growth.
This assembly was a powerful reflection of what our students can achieve when given the opportunity to lead, collaborate, and showcase their learning. We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 students as they continue Creating Bright Futures.
