Year 7 Students Transform into Detectives for HASS Murder Mystery
This term, Year 7 students at Underdale High School have stepped into the shoes of detectives, bringing history and inquiry skills to life through a classic murder mystery in their HASS studies. Tasked with solving a fictional crime, students honed their analytical, research, and evidence-gathering skills while working collaboratively to unravel the case.
Through the process, students consolidated key HASS skills such as critical thinking, source analysis, and effective communication. The activity encouraged teamwork and creative problem-solving, all while adding an engaging, hands-on twist to the curriculum. Judging by the enthusiasm and teamwork displayed, our budding detectives not only cracked the case but also strengthened the skills they need for future success in HASS.
