Putting Data Science Skills into Action!
This term, our Year 7.3 students have been busy applying their newly acquired data science skills in Digital Technologies. As part of their end-of-unit task, students worked both independently and in teams to collect, analyse, and present real-world data.
Drawing on their learning from throughout the term, students used digital spreadsheets to record and process information—with a fun twist! Colourful lollies were counted, sorted, and organised into tables and graphs, helping students make sense of data in a hands-on, engaging way. By visualising their results and working collaboratively to explore patterns, students developed a deeper understanding of how data impacts our everyday lives.
It was wonderful to see students confidently using digital tools, discussing strategies, and proudly presenting their findings to the class. This practical task encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity—all essential skills for the future.
We are incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by our 7.3 students! Thank you for supporting their learning journey.
